Two years after the release of the 2016 single ‘Beater’, Bristol-based producer Lurka returns to Timedance to create his newest ever-evolving track ‘Heat Mover’. The almost military drum pattern, beating away with its uniquely dulled thud, acts as one of the only consistencies throughout the track, while the gradual addition of harsh new synths and heavily manipulated woodwinds in equal measure balance each other out. Despite the lack of distinctive melody, the intertwining instruments and almost minimalist introduction of each one creates a tune that captivates one’s interest from start to finish. ‘Heat Mover’ is the A-side to Lurka’s latest release coming September 14^th. -Dan Peeke
